Bernice B. "Bea" Stone, 98, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 in San Angelo. She was born to the late, Robert and Mollie Ross Robinson on December 16, 1917 in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Bea was a woman before her time. She had a strong will, independent streak and determination that drove her throughout her lifetime. You always knew where you stood with her, sometimes minute to minute even. She was a people person, so much so that she spent over 20 years taking care of her customers at Zentner's where she was a member of the management team. Bea loved animals of all kinds, but especially her dog, Sam, who she had for 21 years at her side. Bea enjoyed spending time reading and gardening. Her sense of humor will be missed greatly. Bea was loving in her own way and was the caretaker for her favorite aunt and uncle, Roy and Ester Irby. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bob" Robinson; mother, Mollie Robinson Cornelius; and son, Michael Doyle.

Survivors include her children, Richard Mills and Marian Schmiz; brother, Bert Cornelius; sisters, Louteen Knoche and Naomi James; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous generations of nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks for the outstanding care given to Bea and the family to Park Plaza Nursing Home staff and Kendred Hospice staff.

Graveside services will be held with no visitation, per Bea's instructions, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2016 in the Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo. Family and friends are encouraged to sign the online guestbook and share memories at www.johnsons-funeralhome.com . Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home of San Angelo.
