Our beloved Lorine journeyed to heaven June 18, 2017, Lorine lived 92 years. A rosary service will be held at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017. The mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Raj, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery. Our beloved Lorine journeyed to heaven June 18, 2017, Lorine lived 92 years. A rosary service will be held at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017. The mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Raj, officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jimmy Braden, Cody Braden, Anthony Braden, Toby Halfmann, Jeremy Braden, Zach Braden and Dalton Moeller Jr. Lorine and her twin sister, Norine were born, in the home, in Olfen, Texas on November 30, 1924 to Ed and Josephine Hoelscher. The Hoelschers farmed and ranched in the Olfen community where Lorine attended school. Lorine married Melvin Braden on June 27, 1945. They began their married life together and farmed in Vancourt, TX. In 1947, they purchased farm land in Reagan County and were proud pioneers of the St. Lawrence Communiy. She attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church and belonged to the St. Theresa Altar Society. Lorine taught CCD for many years. She was a homemaker that enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and canning from her garden. Their door was always open to visitors and the dinner table was the main gathering place in their home. Many delicious meals and wonderful memories were made with family and friends who joined them. Melvin and Lorine celebrated 57 years of marriage. They enjoyed time spent with their friends, dancing to polka music and their many fishing trips to Lake Amistad. Lorine moved to Wall, Texas in 2005. She attended St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She enjoyed and looked forward to playing dominoes at the Senior Citizen gatherings. She was a member of the West Texas Button Club and enjoyed competing and winning at, the state level. Survivors include four children, Alton Braden (Joyce), Melva Halfmann (Wilbert), Arnold Braden (Debbie), Marilyn Moeller (Dalton); a sister, Genevieve Halfmann: 15 grandchildren, Joan McCleery (Patric), Jimmy Braden (Kim), Cody Braden (Jana), Melinda Kuhlmann (Kevin), Anthony Braden (Nicole), Tammy Morris (Bill), Emily Howell (Mark), Amy Fischer (Ken), Becky Wiseman (Rich), Toby Halfmann (Bonnie), Jeremy Braden, Zach Braden (Laura), Ashley Chilton (Josh), Melissa Howell (Brad), Dalton Moeller Jr. (Destiny); and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin on July 28, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Ed and Josephine Hoelscher; siblings, Isidore Hoelscher, Joe Hoelscher, Andrew Hoelscher, Victor Hoelscher, Norine Kujawski, Mary Buxkemper, Colette Schraeder, Sarah Halfmann and Reynold Hoelscher.
